Hockey Rules & Regulations
- A Coach is to be present for the duration of each Practice or Game Slot.
- A Coach/adult is responsible for getting participants off the ice on time.
- Play or practice is to stop immediately when the Zamboni gates are opened.
- There shall be no shooting of pucks or continued skating when an employee or agent is on the ice.
- No one is to step on to the ice when the Zamboni is on the ice, nor is any one to step on the ice prior to the beginning of the scheduled ice slot.
- If teams do not get off the ice on time, it is not Licensor’s responsibility to give the next team additional ice time unless the prior licensee is unaffiliated with Licensee.
- All rules and regulations for the use of the Arena, as they may be amended from time to time, pertain to Licensee and its employees and agents use of the parking lot, ingress and egress from the facility, use of the stands or seating at the Arena, the Locker Rooms, the restrooms, and all common areas of the Arena.
- Licensee’s supervisory or coaching personnel shall be present at all times during Licensee’s use of the Arena. Licensee’s supervisory or coaching personnel shall be responsible for reasonably assisting Licensor in securing compliance with Licensor’s rules and regulations.
- Licensee shall not interfere with Licensor’s operational responsibilities in running the Arena, nor shall it interfere with any other party’s access to and use of the facility.
- Licensee shall comply with all federal, state, county and municipal statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to its organizational activities and use of the Arena of which Licensee is aware.
- Licensee shall be liable for any and all damage to Licensor caused by Licensee, including but not limited to damage to the Arena’s dasher boards, glass, scoreboard, locker rooms, and common facilities, to the extent same are caused by the negligence or recklessness of Licensee and do not occur in the ordinary course of the playing of ice hockey. Reimbursement for damages shall be due and payable in full within thirty (30) days from date of invoice.
- Licensee shall not, to its actual knowledge, allow or permit any materials, objects or substances to be brought by an employee or agent of Licensee to the Arena that are illegal. Licensor reserves the right to refuse admission to the Arena or to remove from the Arena any person or persons who fail to comply with any of its rules and regulations.
- Licensor shall have the right to reasonably amend its Rules and Regulations, and Licensee agrees that it will use best efforts to cause all of its coaches, players and other representatives will abide by such rules.
- Licensee agrees that it will use best efforts to cause all of its coaches, players and representatives shall abide by all USA Hockey rules, policies and guidelines.
- Dressing room keys must be signed out by a team manager or coach for the duration of the Practice Slot or Game Slot. For example, no parents or players are permitted to sign a key out, and no one may exchange keys, unlock the room, and return the key before the room is no longer occupied. The team official must keep the dressing room key and leave their collateral at the front desk of Arena for the duration of the Ice Rental including the time the team is dressing and undressing. The key may only be returned after the final player has finished and the dressing room is locked and left in the condition in which it was found.
- No one under 18 may sign out a dressing room key.
- In order to acquire a dressing room key, the occupying team’s coach/manager must leave one of two items as collateral at the front desk:
- (a) $20 bill
- (b) Vehicle Keys
- Dressing room keys that are not returned after the Ice Rental slot for any reason will result in the occupying team/organization being assessed a $20 re-keying fee. This fee must be paid to Arena customer service before collateral is returned to the occupant.
- At least one (1) coach or manager must be present in the dressing room at all times before and after practice/game, including when players are dressing and undressing, until the last player is out of the room and the door is securely locked.
- Team will be responsible for locking the dressing room after their last player leaves the room.
- Dressing rooms may not be kept between practices/games unless approved by Arena management in advance of the Ice Rental.
- Each Ice Rental is allocated two dressing rooms. No more than two dressing rooms will be assigned unless approved by Arena management in advance of the particular Practice Slot or Game Slot.
- Any damage to locker room, or dirty conditions deemed not reasonable, must be immediately reported to Arena customer service when it is discovered by the occupant.
- Any team that leaves a locker room in conditions not deemed not reasonable by Licensor will be charged a cleaning fee, based set forth on the condition the room was left in. Reimbursement for damages shall be due and payable in full within thirty (30) days from date of invoice.
